Baby blue, I love you. This 1983 Chevy K10 is wearing a fairly fresh coat of its original paint color–GM called it Light Royal Blue Poly–as part of a recent full body-on restoration, and we just don’t think it gets much better looking. This 98,520 mile 4x4 sports a rebuilt 350 Chevy crate motor along with some other mechanical upgrades as well as a lift to perfect the stance. You can drive it home from 4-Wheel Classics in Holland, Michigan today for a cost of $23,900, and then drive it every single day after that until the end of time.

The Model.

C/K is a series of trucks that was manufactured by General Motors from the 1960 to 2002 model years with "C" denoting two-wheel drive; and "K" denoting four-wheel drive. Marketed by both the Chevrolet and GMC divisions, the C/K series encompassed a wide range of vehicles including pickup trucks, chassis-cab trucks and medium-duty trucks.  Through its entire production, the model line competed directly against the Ford F-Series and the Dodge D series (later the Dodge Ram pickup).

This truck is from the third generation of the C/K line, which was produced by GM from 1973 all the way to 1991. Oddly dubbed the “Rounded Line” of C/K trucks, the 3rd gen C/K was also a part of a run of Chevy trucks that were referred to as “Square Body” pickups. We think the latter is a much more apt description, as this thing is delightfully boxy. This particular example is a K10 with the Custom Deluxe trim which came with special trim and moldings and this K10 has been optioned with air conditioning, power brakes and power steering.

The Specs.

This very lightly modified K10 was given a body-on restoration around 5 years ago including a full respray in its original Light Royal Blue Poly paint and spray on bed liner, all in excellent shape with no significant flaws. Its aftermarket upgrades include heavy duty bumpers with a mounted Warn 8274 winch up front, some mechanical upgrades to enhance the stock power and sound of this beautiful truck, and a perfect 4” lift to perfect its stance.

On the inside, the factory bench seat has been recovered for a brand-new look and accented by a new rubber floor mat along with new door cards. The rest of the interior is original and is in excellent condition.

Here are the highlights of this K10:

OVERALL CONDITION & KNOWN FLAWS:

This K10 is in wonderful shape, having many of the key mechanical parts replaced or upgraded. As noted, it was a body-on restoration, so the body is very clean and straight, with relatively new paint, which is in great shape, as the pictures show. The body moldings were all replaced when the vehicle was repainted. The only known flaw, mechanical or otherwise is that despite being a truck optioned with A/C, the A/C does not blow cold.
