1953 Chevrolet Series 3100 1/2 Ton

This 1953 Chevrolet 3100 pickup wears a light blue finish and carries a well-documented history. Originally purchased from its first owner in California in 1985, it has retained all of its original rust-free sheet metal – a rare find in vintage pickups.
In 1986, the truck underwent a thoughtful restoration, including a front subframe swap from a 1969 Camaro, performed by Peterson Engineering. The upgrade added front disc brakes and power steering, improving drivability without compromising its classic feel.
Under the hood is a 283ci V8, built with a 260 Comp cam, roller rockers, steel crank, aluminum 4-barrel carburetor, and double bump heads. Power is sent to a 1966 12-bolt Posi rear with 4.11 gears, offering a spirited driving experience with old-school muscle character.
After a cross-country trip, the truck settled in Erie, PA in 1997, where it remains a well-preserved piece of automotive history – blending vintage charm with meaningful performance upgrades.
