The engine, transmission, and rear end have all been rebuilt, so the entire driveline has been addressed as a unit rather than piecemeal. Supporting that work, the carburetor, fuel tank, and radiator have all been replaced, covering fueling and cooling on a vehicle where those are exactly the systems that tend to need attention at this age.
Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. The front pads measure 13/32 and the rear shoes measure 6/32, both with healthy friction material remaining. The steering box and pump have been replaced as well, which makes a real difference in how one of these big Broncos drives. Other restoration work includes new floorboards, replaced window surrounds on most of the windows, and a new front grille. The rear glass raises and lowers as it should, a feature that often gives these trucks trouble and a good sign of the care taken here.
Inside, the interior has been restored with stitched upholstery, along with custom painting on the glove box and above the sun visors that gives the cabin a personalized touch. A modern backlit radio styled to look vintage rounds out the interior, blending current audio function with a period-correct appearance.
Altogether this is a restored first-year full-size Bronco with a fully rebuilt driveline, addressed mechanical systems, and a finished interior, ready for an enthusiast who wants one of the two-year-only trucks sorted and driving.
