This special edition Toyota is powered by at least a period-correct 4.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine that's fed by a factory-issue 2-barrel carburetor. Not surprisingly, given its manufacturer's reputation for dependability, the engine is running in fine form, starting up promptly and pulling with gusto. When it comes time to unleash this Land Cruiser's 4-wheel drive agility so that you can take on rougher terrain, the lever is within easy reach on the transmission and engages flawlessly. Power brakes that position discs up front bring things to a stop as quickly as needed, and an upgraded aluminum radiator is on board to keep temperatures under control in more challenging motoring conditions.
