Originally purchased from the U.S. government in 2023, this 1998 AM General M1123 has since undergone a comprehensive two-year custom restoration. The build retains the unmistakable military character of the Humvee while adding a long list of mechanical, suspension, exterior, and comfort upgrades. It shows just 1,428 miles and 83 operating hours.

Powered by a 6.5-liter diesel V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive, this M1123 is for sale by GP Elite Motors in Fort Myers, Florida. It comes with parts receipts, U.S. government documentation, and a clean Florida street-legal title. Nationwide shipping assistance is available.

  • Government-Sourced M1123: The M1123 is a heavy-duty troop and cargo carrier variant of the military Humvee platform. This example was purchased directly from the U.S. government in 2023, providing a documented starting point for the restoration that followed.
  • Two-Year Restoration: Over the past two years, the Humvee has received a comprehensive custom restoration. Work included fresh green paint, new doors, a new windshield, updated seating, air conditioning, and numerous mechanical improvements.
  • Diesel Drivetrain: Power comes from a 6.5-liter diesel V8 backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. New fuel injectors have been installed, along with a new differential featuring a 2.73 gear ratio. An extended vertical exhaust and snorkel add to its military-inspired appearance and utility.
  • Updated Chassis: The chassis has been refreshed with new brakes and a new steering pump. A two-inch front lift using coil springs gives the truck a more level stance, while new wheels and tires complete the upgraded footprint.
  • Improved Cabin: New racing-style seats provide a more supportive driving position than the original military seating. Newly installed air conditioning makes the cabin considerably more usable in warm weather, particularly in its current Florida climate.

This M1123 combines genuine U.S. government provenance with extremely low indicated mileage, low operating hours, and two years of restoration work. The mechanical updates address several important systems, while its new doors, windshield, paint, wheels, tires, seating, and air conditioning make it far more approachable for recreational use. Most importantly, it is offered with a clean Florida street-legal title, removing one of the biggest potential hurdles associated with owning a former military Humvee.
