The first generation of the Atrai started in 1981 in the Hijets six generation. The Passenger optimized van was a quick success. The Daihatsu Atrai was a fan favorite and with the addition of 4wd and turbos in 1984 it became the obvious chose for many. The 8th generation saw many improvements over its 5 production years. Starting with the introduction of 3 link independent suspension and antilock brakes. The engine also got an update with a 13.6% increase in torque on its 12 valve motor.

This Daihatsu Atrai is ready fun in the sun. A turbo charged Kei van with lots of functional accessories. The vehicle comes with a very peppy Turbocharged engine mounted to a 5 speed transmission. Making lots of low end torque due to the engine update. The engine location also helps to keep it feeling nimble planted to the road.

The interior is very smart, numerous cubbies and storage areas available for every passenger. The upholstery is simple and durable with a great 90's pattern on it. 2 full sliding doors helps with loading items from any side. This model has lots of room for friends and equipment in this 4 seater passenger van. The front seats are on slides, with enough room for tall people. The read seats can fold completely flat to trade passenger room for more cargo space.
